ArcLight Cinemas Raise Ticket Prices for Non-Members

ArcLight Cinemas recently made a change to its pricing structure and that can only mean more expensive tickets. Despite a recent price uptick to $14.50 to $15.50 a ticket due to the holiday season--in theory, prices should get back to normal next week--prices at the door and online for non-members will be a dollar more than usual. However, if you're a member, which is free to join, you'll be saved from that price increase if you buy online.
As one ArcLight official explained to LAist, the company is trying to encourage online ticket purchases because people who arrive with tickets in hand have the best experience. Behind the scenes, the move to encourage more online purchases probably makes ArcLight's operation more efficient, thus saving money on staffing.
Members logging in will notice additional boxes when purchasing tickets. Make sure to look at the bottom of the list where new options, such as "Member Adult", are located for the $1 cheaper price:
ArcLight runs two theatres, one in Hollywood and another in Sherman Oaks. In general, prices are cheaper at ArcLight Sherman Oaks.
