It's had to have been a lousy couple of days for actor Ryan O'Neal, whose sons Redmond and Griffin have made SoCal headlines on successive days.

Griffin, 46, was briefly hospitalized last night after a car accident in San Diego, according to CBS2. Authorities say O'Neal "veered into oncoming traffic and collided with another vehicle." The condition of the other driver was not made available.

The elder O'Neal brother's accident came less than 24 hours after Redmond O'Neal, 26, was arrested in Santa Monica "for a red light infraction, violating felony drug probation and possession of a controlled substance." The younger O'Neal remains held without bail.
