American Airlines Taking Off From Bob Hope Airport For Good

Burbank's Bob Hope Airport is losing a major airline. American Airlines announced today they are ceasing operation in and out of BUR, though the decision does not stem from the financially troubled company's Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing, but rather just "normal business changes," reports NBC Los Angeles.
The last day for the airline at BUR will be February 9.
Said AA in a statement:
"Our objective is to make our company competitive and more efficient in an increasingly challenging industry. We will continue to respond to operational and market changes -- as we always have -- and to make adjustments to ensure we are competitive."
