Karen Bass and Nithya Raman face off in televised debate

The November election is less than a month out, and last night saw the two candidates vying to be the next mayor of Los Angeles duke it out in a televised debate. Today on AirTalk, we’ll recap the last televised debate for this year’s L.A. City mayor’s race.

Guest:

  • Frank Stoltze, LAist civics and democracy correspondent who was at the debate

Prop 39: Should California have Voter ID?

This November’s state ballot will allow voters to change how Californians vote via a potential change from our current signature verification system. Majority support for Proposition 39 would mean requiring each voter to present a government-issued identification whenever they vote. Today on AirTalk, we’ll have a proponent and opponent share their perspectives on the proposal.

What did you think the future would be like as a kid?

Join the conversation: From the Jetson’s to the movies like iRobot, the media has always depicted “the future” as a technologically advanced utopia where automation has become the name of the game. What did you think the future would be like as a kid? It could be technological, societal or even an impending doom you may have felt! Today on the Triple Play we dig into the question heading into Game 3 — will the Dodgers turn things around?

Guests:
