'Young And The Restless' Actor Beaten In WeHo Parking Lot On Thanksgiving
A man was attacked in a Hollywood parking lot on Thanksgiving while trying to bring some food to a friend. It was close to midnight on Thanksgiving when actor and model Corey Sligh—who has appeared on The Young and the Restless—and his girlfriend, Alisa Berhorst, stopped to deliver some food to a friend working a late shift at Rite Aid at 7900 Sunset Blvd. in West Hollywood, KCAL 9 reports.
Berhorst told KCAL9 that when they arrived, two men were doing donuts, hitting curbs and driving wildly through the parking lot. Police would later confirm that the men were drunk. Berhorst said that Sligh told the men to slow down and go home, which only angered them. They hit Sligh with their car before getting out and attacking him.
Berhorst said the men approached Sligh with an expression that read, "'I'm in the mood to kill somebody and this is who it's going to be because he told me to be careful and slow down and go away.'"
After beating Sligh, the men fled only to crash their car shortly thereafter. A witness who had pursued them helped police track them down. One man has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon and the other with felony assault. Their names haven't been released.
Sligh was transported to the hospital with a broken arm and other injuries. He posted a photo of himself in the hospital to his Instagram account saying he needed a surgery and a few more days in the hospital, but should be fine.
