A female UCLA student was attacked by a knife-wielding man on campus last night. The student was jogging around the northeast side of the Murphy Sculpture Garden at about 8:30 p.m. when a man grabbed her from behind and made three minor cuts on one of her arms with a knife, the police told the L.A. Times. A bystander shouted at the man, and he let the woman go and fled.

The man was described as having light-colored skin and wearing dark pants and a black shirt with long sleeves. It was also reported that he smelled like alcohol.

Anyone with information should call the police at 310-825-1491, using report number 14-1461.
