8-Year-Old Accidentally Shoots Man In Head

An 8-year-old boy who found a gun in a dresser drawer did what 8-year-old boys sometimes do when they find a gun: he pulled the trigger.
Unfortunately for a man sitting at a kitchen table one floor below him, the gun was loaded. The shot pierced the floor and struck the man in the head, according to the Los Angeles Times.
The good news is that the victim was taken to the hospital and he is expected to survive.
This happened in a home in Eastvale, which is in Riverside County, and the gun was a .45-caliber semiautomatic gun. Authorities said they arrested the owner of the gun Carlos Serafilo for negligently maintaining a firearm accessible to a minor.
