A 6-year-old girl was killed in a hit and run Tuesday night in South Los Angeles, according to reports. Kemberly Arrue was playing with a ball near her home in the 600 block of West 49th Place (near Figueroa) and was chasing the ball into the street when she was struck around 9:30 p.m., said witnesses."She went to go get the ball across the street and a car just popped out of nowhere and just hit her," said witness Jonathan Antepara to KABC. "He never stopped and just kept on going."

The girl was thrown about 80-feet after being struck by the SUV, which fled the scene, according to a family member.

Police were looking for the driver of a dark-colored SUV, likely with front-end damage.
