4 Members of "Asian Mafia Assassins" Arrested for Hate Crime Against Chinese Man Ordering Take-Out from Korean Restaurant

A total of four men, all Korean, have been arrested over a period of several days, for their involvement in an alleged hate crime that took place at a Korean restaurant in Rowland Heights. Los Angeles County Sheriff's officials say that a 25-year-old Chinese American man was the victim of robbery and assault with a deadly weapon following a violent confrontation outside the eatery on February 6th.

The victim was waiting for a take-out order when he was approached by one of seven adult males dining at a table. The diner asked the victim if he was Korean, and the victim said he was Chinese. After his order was ready, the victim left the restaurant. However, he was followed out by the diner who had approached him earlier, who was joined by five other Korean males who had been dining with him.

The LASD say at that time, "the male Koreans (suspects), for no apparent reason, began beating the victim with their hands and feet." The suspects didn't stop there, though. Apparently being a Chinese man who enjoys Korean take-out warrants having your car smashed up, including busted windows, knocked-off side mirrors, and thousands of dollars worth of body damage in the form of dents. They also managed to lift the victim's wallet, and yank out the car's GPS navigation system.

When did they stop? When people witnessing the beating and vandalism intervened.

Using witness descriptions, surveillance footage, and license plate information, authorities were able to trace down the suspects, who were determined to be members of the "Asian Mafia Assassins" gang based in Northern LA County. Four arrests have been made, and at least two suspects are outstanding.
