Police are asking for the public’s help in providing more information on a shooting that claimed the life of a 26-year-old man in Highland Park Tuesday night.

Police today identified the victim as Conrad Gomez, who was found in a driveway on the 6000 block of Fayette Street not far from thoroughfare York Boulevard with multiple gunshot wounds at about 9:25 p.m. Tuesday night, according to the LAPD. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident appears to be gang-related. An initial investigation showed the victim became involved in a dispute with several people described as Hispanic males between the ages of 16 and 20. Police are still searching for a suspected gunman who was wanted on a previous robbery charge, according to NBC4.

Anyone with information on the incident should contact Northeast Homicide Detective Yamada or Officer Watterson at (233) 344-5731. Non-business hours calls can be made to 1-877-LAPD-24-7 (1-877-527-3247), and those wishing to remain anonymous may contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (1-800-222-8477).
