Giuliani campaigns in Orange County for Fiorina, Tran
Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani was in Orange County Monday to drum up support for two Republican candidates. The visit paves the way for other big names to Orange County.
Giuliani hit a campaign rally in Westminster’s Little Saigon to throw his support behind Republican Senate candidate Carly Fiorina and Republican congressional candidate Van Tran. Fiorina’s battling incumbent Barbara Boxer.
Tran’s just a few percentage points behind incumbent congresswoman Loretta Sanchez. It’s the closest battle for that central Orange County congressional seat since Sanchez beat out Republican Bob Dornan for it by a few hundred votes in 1996.
Sanchez will get some help of her own later this week. On Friday, former President Bill Clinton is scheduled to rally for her outside of the Old County Courthouse in Santa Ana.
