2 Totally Tubular OC Surfers Compete Against The World's Best

Two surfers from Orange County are preparing for their second year on the ASP World Tour where they will compete against 34 of the top-ranked surfers in the world.
Huntington Beach's Brett Simpson and Patrick Gudauskas of San Clemente, both rookies last year, will hit the waves against 10-time world champ Kelly Slater, Mick Fanning and Jordy Smith.
Reports OrangeCounty.com, "They entered just as the Association of Surfing Professionals made changes to the rules that saw many surfers suffer a mid-year cut from the tour, giving them only a taste of the big time. Gudauskas and Simpson both held strong, earning enough points at contests through the year to get another chance on the tour." The complete 2011 ASP World Tour calendar is avaiable here.
