Police arrested a 20-year-old man today for allegedly shooting a 14-year-old girl Wednesday night.

Andrea Olague was at a home with several others in the 700 block of East I Street in Ontario at about 8:35 p.m. on Wednesday when she was fatally shot, KTLA reports. Police have arrested an unidentified 20-year-old man, and they believe that he and Olague were acquainted prior to the shooting.

Olague's mother and her friend told KTLA that Olague had texted her mother around 8 p.m. saying she was 'okay' and hanging out with a female friend.

Prior to the arrest, police had been looking for two men and a woman that left the house in a black car.
