A 14-year-old boy was struck and killed by a Metrolink train in Covina last night.
The victim Mitchal Sata was struck at 5:20 pm at the Glendora Avenue crossing heading from Union Station to San Bernardino, Metrolink's Scott Johnson told City News Service. The train was going 50 miles per hour when it hit him. It's not clear what Sata was doing on the tracks at the time, but the case is being investigated.
Four hundred passengers were aboard the train.
