Try Hybrid Or Stay Online? LA Parents Have To Choose As More Schools Reopen

Teachers are getting vaccinated. State lawmakers have approved a reopening plan. COVID-19 cases are down. Now, schools across Los Angeles County are making plans to reopen campuses.
This month, the school districts of Downey, Long Beach, Compton, Pasadena and Glendale all intend to bring elementary students back into the classroom for hybrid learning.
After a year of restrictions, parents now have a big choice to make: try hybrid in-person learning or stay online. We asked families from three local school districts how they’re making this decision.
