This summer, the Los Angeles Conservancy is putting on their 31st annual Last Remaining Seats series. The annual series, which started in 1987, brings classic movies and entertainment to some of L.A.'s most beautiful and historic venues. The venues are all across the city and include the Orpheum, the Theatre at the Ace Hotel, and the Warner Grand Theatre. The film lineup covers a wide range of genres and eras, and it all kicks off with a screening of L.A. Confidential on June 3.

Tickets cost $18 for Conservancy members and $22 for the general public. The series runs from June 3-June 24. Besides the film screenings. L.A. Conservancy is also hosting trivia nights, backstage tours, and lectures.

One year ago, Congress voted to defund public media, eliminating a critical $1.7 million from our budget every year going forward. But they couldn’t silence us, and we’re not going anywhere. LAist is now 100% community funded and that means we’re taking our future into our own hands and turning to you to keep local reporting strong.

You come to LAist because you want independent reporting and trustworthy local information. Our nonprofit newsroom doesn’t answer to shareholders looking to turn a profit.
