    The 97th Academy Awards are held at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood this Sunday at 4 p.m. In preparation for the awards show, organizers and the City of Los Angeles have announced street closures.

    The 97th Academy Awards ceremony kicks off at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood this Sunday at 4 p.m. In preparation for the Oscars, organizers and the City of Los Angeles have announced numerous street closures, both ahead of and following the show.

    What’s in effect: 

    • All lanes of Hollywood Boulevard are currently closed from Orange Drive to Highland Avenue. They’ll reopen at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, March 5.

    Starting Saturday, Mar. 1 until 6 a.m. on Monday, March 3

    • Metro will re-route bus traffic and subway trains will bypass the Ovation Hollywood station until 6 a.m. on Monday, March 3.
    • Orchid Avenue from south of Franklin Boulevard to Johnny Grant Way will be closed.
    • Orange Drive from Johnny Grant Way to Hollywood Boulevard will be closed
    • The north and south sidewalk of Hawthorn Avenue from Highland Avenue to Orange Drive will be closed.

    • On the day of the show, the remainder of Hawthorn Alley from Orange Drive to Highland Avenue will be closed beginning at midnight until 6 a.m. on Monday.
    • Orange Drive from Hollywood Boulevard to Lanewood Avenue will also be closed until 6 a.m. on Monday
    • At 4 a.m., the north and south crosswalks on Hollywood Boulevard at the Highland Avenue intersection will be closed until 4 a.m. on Monday. As well as Highland Avenue from Sunset Boulevard to Franklin Avenue, Hollywood Boulevard from La Brea Ave to Orange Drive, and Hollywood Boulevard from Highland Avenue to Cahuenga Boulevard.
