    Topline:

Los Angeles will host the Super Bowl again in 2027 at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, the NFL announced Wednesday. The city hosted the big game nearly two years ago when the Rams beat the Cincinnati Bengals 23-20.

Why it matters: Super Bowl LXI will be L.A.’s ninth time hosting the event and commemorate 60 years since the L.A. Memorial Coliseum hosted the first title game in 1967.

How do you get tickets? Fans who are able to pay $2,500 can access the priority access deposit for guaranteed seats for Super Bowl LXI. Rams season ticket members will receive priority among deposit holders.

What's else? The 2027 Super Bowl will come on the heels of the 2024 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball West Region Championship, the 2026 U.S. Women’s Open Championship and the FIFA World Cup. The Olympic and Paralympic Games will come to L.A. in 2028.

The Los Angeles Super Bowl Host Committee chief executive Kathy Schloessman said she’s thrilled to welcome back the NFL at SoFi Stadium.

“After 29 years, Super Bowl LVI was an amazing event that delivered significant economic and community impact for the Los Angeles region," she said in a statement.

In a statement, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass said, “The Los Angeles region continues to attract world-renowned events and we look forward to yet again hosting the Super Bowl. I want to congratulate Inglewood Mayor James Butts on recently hosting a successful Super Bowl and for the job he has done to transform the city. I know our entire region looks forward to watching the Rams win the Super Bowl at home, again.”
