Why now: In light of ICE’s presence in Los Angeles, some families are scared to leave their homes for basic necessities. Curaçao largely serves Latino immigrant communities in Southern California, many of whom primarily speak Spanish.
What assistance is being provided: Curaçao is offering delivering groceries to peoples homes free of charge. They’re also providing household items such as microwaves, compact refrigerators, TVs and small appliances.
