        Welcome to L.A. autumn where the mornings are cloudy and cool while the afternoons are hot and sunny.

        Today's weather will be a couple of degrees warmer than yesterday after the clouds burn off. Coastlines along L.A. and the Orange counties will see high temperatures climb into the 80s.

        Meanwhile, L.A. County valleys and the Inland Empire will see temperatures of up to 96 degrees. And Coachella Valley is expected to hit 100 degrees.

        Looking ahead, there's a slight chance that light showers could return to L.A. County late Wednesday. We'll keep an eye on that for you.
