Glass Panel Falls On Diners At Spago
It's always unfortunate when you're in a restaurant that charges a zillion dollars for a meal and a panel falls out of the ceiling, because it just seems like you're paying too much money to potentially die.
But that's exactly what happened at Spago today.
TMZ reports that a piece of glass that was about the size of an apartment window dropped from the skylight during lunch today. No one was hit, and a safety net prevented the entire thing from crashing down, so only small pieces of glass rained over patrons, but still.
The gossip site notes that diners were moved outside as repairs went underway.
The skylight was part of the restaurants recent remodel, which also included a retractable rooftop and a hearth. You can watch a video of the remodel here, with our very own Krista Simmons and Wolfgang Puck.
