Psst: Chateau Marmont Has a Secret Drink Menu
We're somewhat on the fence about restaurants and bars having secret menus and secret drinks. Even at In-N-Out, to have to know to ask for special offerings strikes the consumer as a bit gimmicky.
But there are times when we'll still play along (animal style being one of them, bring on the fucking onions) like when there are delicious alcoholic beverages involved.
And involved they are, at Chateau Marmont's new hotel bar. The swank watering hole has a list of seven on-the-DL drinks, and over at LA Magazine, Caroline on Crack got her hands on the whole thing and reran it. So next time you find yourself underwhelmed with the WeHo hotel's regular cocktail selections, ask for the special menu, and you will get this:
Blase: Nolet’s dry gin, Amaro Ciociaro, Averna, Luxardo cherry liqueur Forbidden Fizz: Rittenhouse rye, Miracle Mile Forbidden bitters, fresh lime juice, housemade grenadine, sugar, egg white.
Valet: A mezcal daiquiri made with Vida mezcal, cinnamon syrup, fresh lime juice, chocolate-chili bitters.
Le Fiance: No. 3 dry gin, Green Chartreuse, Cynar, orgeat, fresh lemon juice, Santa Maria float.
Short & Stout: Sazerac rye, fresh lemon juice, honey, Angostura bitters, oatmeal stout.
Kill for Love: Bluecoat dry gin, applejack, spicy plum syrup, fresh lemon juice.
Frozen Rose: Martin Miller gin, aquavit, orgeat, fresh lemon juice, orange bitters, rose water
