New Doggie Hotel in Hollywood Caters to Canines' Every Whim

The stretch of Highland Avenue between Santa Monica Blvd. and Melrose Ave. is quickly becoming canine corridor. Already home to upscale doggie daycare and boarding facilities including LA Dogworks and D Pet Hotels, as of this weekend the area will welcome another high-class pup facility, Pooch Hotel.
According to a statement on Pooch Hotel's website, the Hollywood location will feature "custom-made hotel suites with glass doors, a customized exercise pool and...a just-for-dogs spa that features aromatherapy bathing and massage, paw-dicures and Poochberry facials and tooth brushing."
Also available to the pampered Los Angeles puppy will be nutrition plans and exercise areas, and a webcam so owners can monitor their beloved best friend's every leap and bound.
Pooch Hotel has three other locations, two in Chicago and one in Sunnyvale, CA, and the company is owned by Petco. The new Hollywood location is planning opening ceremonies all weekend, including tours of the facility, discounts to those who purchase services in advance, and the opportunity to have a professional photographer capture the glory that is you and your pet together.
On hand at an opening event tomorrow night, according to City News Service, will be Uggie, the canine star of "The Artist."
As dog people, we are thrilled that our four-legged friends are receiving all this love in the Hollywood area. We just hope that other parts of the city are being equally well-served.
