Sofia Coppola has been approaching members of the notorious Hollywood "bling ring" to collaborate with her on a movie, according to TMZ.

Back in 2008, the ne'er-do-wells who made up the "bling ring" targeted the homes — and fancy designer duds — of Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, Audrina Patridge, Orlando Bloom, Rachel Bilson, Brian Austin Green, Ashley Tisdale and Megan Fox. So far the gang's irresistible story has gotten the Lifetime treatment, but the big screen could be next.

There's no start date, no script but TMZ reports that Francis Ford Coppola's Zoetrope studio is backing it. One member Nick Prugo declined the offer to be a consultant, while Tess Taylor, who is the sister of another member Alexis Neiers, has signed on.

WTH? Sofia Coppola has nothing to eat? Why downgrade herself so? Is it the last project on Earth? Why give so much attention to those criminals? That's what they wanted in a first place. Those idiots should be sent to a hard physical labor to pay for their crimes and to return every single penny they took. Also, it's interesting to see if Sofia Coppola would be so eager to "back" this beyond the low grade idea into the movie if HER house would be robbed by the bunch of parazites of the society and HER privacy and the privacy of HER loved ones would be invaded. Ew. I lost all respect to this woman. People that are trying to use such a cheap way to get the interest for their movies is a disgrace for the profession.
