all-ears-2a.jpg Where the practice of taunting bank robbers with silly, non-threatening names came from, I do not know. What I do know is that the "All Ears Bandit" is wanted by police and the FBI in connection with three local bank robberies at Bank of America branches this month where victims were threatened with a firearm.

Law enforcement labeled the unidentified suspect the “All Ears Bandit,” based on descriptions of his large ears given by witnesses. He is further described as an Hispanic male, 25-33 years old and weighing between 150-160 lbs., notes an FBI press release. He is believed to be responsible for robbing:

  • 3/19/2011, BofA, 1572 W. SUNSET BLVD, ECHO PARK
  • 3/14/2011, BofA, 8764 FIRESTONE BLVD, CARSON
  • 3/12/2011, BofA, 7105 EASTERN AVE, BELL GARDENS
Anyone with information is asked to contact the FBI or dial 911. In Los Angeles, the FBI can be reached at 1 888 CAN’T HIDE. (1 888 226-8443). Check online for more information about current fugitive bank robbers.
