A man on trial for stabbing a fellow movie-goer has ended with a conviction. Landry Boullard was watching the film "Shutter Island" at a Cinemark Theater in Lancaster back in February when a woman he was with was repeatedly shushed by another patron. Boullard, the woman, and another man left the theatre, only to return to stab the shush-er. The weapon: A meat thermometer.
Today Boullard was convicted "of one count of willful, deliberate, premeditated, attempted murder; two counts of assault with a deadly weapon; and one count of possession of a firearm by a felon," according to KTLA. As a result of the stabbing, the victim became "comatose due to a brain injury," which was among the information the jurors considered during their two-and-a-half hour deliberation.
Boullard, who "has four prior felony convictions in Los Angeles County," could receive a life sentence for the stabbing.
