Before Barack Obama's campaign, Yosi Sergant was a local public relations guy and a constant presence in the Los Angeles arts and grassroots scenes. He represented Shepard Fairey among other organizations before he got the idea to have artists make posters for the campaign. One of those, Fairey's HOPE, became a huge hit and a driving force and symbol of the campaign. Sergant was then offered a job in the White House as the arts liaison and eventually was named the Communications Director at the National Endowment for the Arts.
Somehow, after the Van Jones incident, FOX News host Glenn Beck caught wind of a conference call Sargent was involved in. The Huffington Post sets the scene:
At issue was an August conference call in which the NEA encouraged select artists to participate in an administration project dubbed "United We Serve" and led by the first lady.Beck attacked Sergant and the NEA on his Fox News talk show, accusing the agency of propaganda efforts similar to those used by Nazi Germany. And now Sergant has been tossed overboard, making him Beck's second victim in his campaign to rid the administration of perceived radicals, socialists, communists, fascists, anarchists and all other manner of nefarious influences.
At first it was reported that Sergant was let go, but the NEA later confirmed he remains with the agency with a different position. Continue to watch the Beck videos below:

Beck is a used tampon.
The endowment's main purpose is disbursing federal grants to nonprofit arts organizations.
It is a violation of the NEA's mandate to promote a political agenda.
Yeah I know we are all supposed to ignore this little inconvenience and produce great art for the Great One's causes and fall in line. That is not the purpose of art.

Beck manages to shine the tiniest of lights into corners of the "most transparent administration evah" and they all scatter like so many roaches.
If this administration can't even hold up to freakin' Glenn Beck probes, it certainly makes one wonder just how fragile the entire hope 'n change illusion really is.

my comment, like the web site, is just a bit of dadaist political agitation. holding up a mirror to the absurdity of the fox news brand of hysteria. I wouldn't recommend "sinking to their level" in general but every once in a while it's fun to get in the mud.

Believe me Venicedog, I believe in the power of political satire. Humor reaches a lot more people and doesn't get dissmissed as easily as anger when it comes to making a political statement.
This really borders on libel though, and I really think it hurts the credibility of the left.
I'm glad they put the disclaimer at the bottom. I hope Glenn Beck spends a lot of money trying to drag them into court just so he can lose. It's exactly what he deserves.
