The Sweet Hurt, Willoughby, The Parson Redheads & The Spires @ Spaceland, 11/1/08
On Saturday night, The Parson Redheads (MySpace) -- previously mentioned here -- headlined a local Aquarium Drunkard (MySpace) showcase at Spaceland (MySpace) in Silver Lake, supported by openers The Sweet Hurt (MySpace) and Willougby (MySpace) as well as the Ventura-based The Spires (MySpace).
Tonight, at the Hotel Cafe (MySpace) in Hollywood, The Sweet Hurt and Miss Willie Brown (MySpace) open for a local band that's been getting some local music blogger love this week, HoneyHoney (MySpace) -- previously mentioned here -- with Sweet Hurt frontwoman Wendy Wang playing support on bass. The show is sold out.
As for other local upcoming shows, The Parson Redhead's is on November 14th at Alex's Bar (MySpace) in Long Beach and November 30th at The Echo (MySpace). In addition, Redheads frontman Evan Way will be performing solo on November 12th at Tangier in Los Feliz.
