Chatsworth Train Crash Was Close to Tunnel

The tunnel under the Santa Susana Pass Topanga Canyon Blvd., marked by the Red Pin on the above map, was around 700 feet from the crash (marked by the red triangle). If the collision occurred inside the tunnel, the fatal results would have likely be tripled.

No, that's not the Santa Susana tunnel entrance.

That's just the (very short) tunnel that takes the tracks under Topanga Canyon Blvd.

The entrance to the Santa Susana Pass tunnel is a bit more than a mile further up the track

Look again - the tracks reappear immediately to the west of Topanga, then turn southward, then westward again, disappear briefly into another short tunnel, reemerge, and then enter the main Santa Susana Pass tunnel.

That's less than a mile from Spahn Ranch. There was also an airplane crash there way back when that caused the discovery of a secret cult *that saved the crash victims) It't the Bermuda Triangle of the valley.
