710 Fwy Shut Down for Filming on Thursday

710fwyclosure.jpgHeads up to all those who use the 710. On Thursday night, from 9:00 p .m. to Friday morning at 4:00 a.m., the whole freeway, both north- and southbound, will be closed filming, according to Caltrans. For what film? We're not sure yet, but we figured the earlier the warning the better.

I called them and they said since freeways are state property, the California Film Commission are the people to talk to. I shot off an e-mail, we'll see what they say.

The *entire* freeway from Long Beach to Pasadena? Wow, that must cost quite a bit.

Autobots need plenty of freeway to transform

Definitely has to be for Transformers 2.

Okay, there have been several updates to this via e-mail form Caltrans. Here is the latest on the specifics:

* 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. – One lane of southbound I-710 from Valley Boulevard to the San Bernardino Freeway (I-10)
* · 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. - Full freeway closure on southbound I-710 from Valley Boulevard to I-10

* · 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. - Intermittent traffic breaks on northbound I-710 from I-10 to Valley Boulevard

Okay, just found out what's being filmed and it's unfortunately not Transformers 2. Get ready for the lameness, it's Valentine on The CW. wha???
