Worst Attorney General Ever Cuts & Runs

Alberto Gonzales and George Bush, Dumb and Dumber Today the worst president ever got to share his thoughts on the worst AG ever, and the lies seethed out like snakes from Medusa's slithery scalp.

This morning Attorney General Alberto Gonzales announced that he will leave the Department of Justice after two and a half years of service to the department.

Al Gonzales is a man of integrity, decency and principle, and I have reluctantly accepted his resignation with great appreciation for the service that he has provided for our country.

As attorney general and before that as White House counsel, Al Gonzales has played a critical role in shaping our policies in the war on terror and has worked tirelessly to make this country safer. The Patriot Act, the Military Commissions Act and other important laws bear his imprint. - AP

When President Bush calls Alberto Gonzales a man of integrity and decency, it reflects on W as to what he thinks is decent.

Here's just some of the reasons the AG is fleeing DC with his partisan tail between his legs:

- lied under oath in front of Congress when he claimed 71 times that he did not recall basic details in regards to the US Attorney firings,

- was allegedly part of the coverup in regards to the Texas Youth Commission administrators who allegedly raped two boys in their custody

- tried to rationalize the torture happening at Gitmo because he claimed the Geneva Convention was outdated and quaint

- lied about why this administration found it necessary to continually spy on Americans, even today under the domestic spying scandal.

But the most laughable, and most telling moment in the Gonzo Era was when, under oath, he tried to tell a Senator that the Constitution doesn't guarantee the right to habeas corpus (the right to go to court to challenge your imprisonment).

It's telling because it shows that not only has this administration embraced idiots, but they freaking love em. Heck of a job, AG.

This guy was seriously the biggest clown in the circus that they call the White House. Good riddance.

I'm from East Hollywood and I just wanted to say that you're absolutely correct in what you're saying, and I totally agree with you.

Maybe they should consider an AG who is familiar with the constitution. Great piece, Tony!

Later, you piece of shit.
