With the upcoming new season of American Idol and America’s addiction to Guitar Hero, the comedic geniuses of Epic Records discovered a newer way for people to humiliate themselves in hopes of discovering true talent.
The online video competition created by Music Nation, a New York City-based artist development company, is hanging a recording deal with Epic Records on the line. Musicians can create an artist page containing uploaded videos, which will be entered into a 15 week long contest for the top three artists in the urban, rock, and pop genres.
Musicians can upload videos for free until the start of the contest on January 29, or pay a $25 registration fee thereafter. The public and a panel of celebrity judges will choose the winners based on a voting process.
One of the three winners will also get a chance to perform live on Clear Channel’s STRIPPED.
So, do you have what it takes?
