Ozzfest was held this weekend at the Hyundai out in the IE and at Coors down in SD. At the LA show there were two technical difficulties that caused power outtages in the sets of Avenged Sevenfold and Atreyu. After the jump see video from backstage right after the power went out with Avenged asking the filmmaker "is Avenged the next Iron Maiden?" -- referring to the infamous Ozzfest moment last year when Sharon Osbourne allegedly sabotaged the British metal gods.

it was one of the only times in my life where i almost cried i was so happy and content. it was the most magnificent feeling i have ever felt. ever. so yeah, the quote of the day was "is that water or is that piss?!" i thought it was just random at first...but then suddenly...it became rather relevant later.......a couple of drunk girls pissed on the ground. they just pulled down their pants, squatted, and pissed...and it was STADIUM seating!!! so crystal's mom reported them to the security guard and they go hauled off and one of them got arrested.
but when avenged sevenfold came on stage, i just went F***ING NUTS!!!!!! i was jumping around, screaming like crazy, head banging, had my rock fists up, yelling all the words to the songs. it was so awesome. i was just going absolutely insane. it was the best.

FUCKIN EMO KIDS WERE THERE!!!! AAHHHHHHH!!!!!! SO RETARDED!!!!!!!!! I thought that I was going to see some emo kids get there ass kicked by some skinheads but I didn't.ivan also summed it up pretty nicely:
sup everyone which is like no one i dont even know why im posting this blog that no one is going to read but uhh im IVAN and i never post blogs so im posting this today.......... i reacently went to Ozzfest this saturday to see SYSTEM OF A DOWN........ they murdered the show it was fucken crazy it seemed like every single person there was there to see System...... when Avenged sevenfold was performing the power went out or somethin and the crowd began to go crazy for the whole half hour tht it took the tech crew to fix the problem turns out there was an outage......... Well there was basically a big ass food fight that consisted of like 60,000 people just throwing any and everything they could at eachother SYSTEM seemed like they ruled the world for the hour they played, my first time at ozzfest you guys should all see System.......... well im running out of time so payce yall........Backstage after the power outage:
