Canadian singer-songwriter Lindi Ortega got her start writing music and playing gigs in her hometown of Toronto, then spent five years on the scene in Nashville.

She is now back in Canada, having recently released her fifth full-length album, titled “Liberty.” It's a three-part concept album inspired by spaghetti Westerns, Ennio Morricone film scores and Quentin Tarantino movies. The album also explores Ortega’s Mexican-Canadian-Irish heritage.

Frame producer Michelle Lanz sat down with Ortega to talk about her career and the making of "Liberty."
