Reacting quickly to President Trump, political leaders across the country are looking at ways to organize, and continue efforts to reduce the human impact on climate change. And one man has emerged as the leader of the resistance:

California Governor Jerry Brown.

Not long after Trump revealed his decision to drop out of the Paris Climate Agreement, Brown joined forces with New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and Governor Jay Inslee of Washington state.

They said they'll be banding together to form something called the United States Climate Alliance. And they're looking for other states to join them in a plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

But what can a handful of states really do when the federal government isn't on board? David Baker reports on energy for the San Francisco Chronicle and has been writing about all this, he spoke to A Martinez for more.
