Steve Zimmer, the incumbent board member for Los Angeles Unified School District 4, debated challenger Kate Anderson, left, at a town hall meeting Thursday, March 1, at the Palisades Branch library in Los Angeles. Pacific Palisades Community Council members and attendants from the general public asked questions of both candidates to clarify their positions on key issues before Tuesday's election, which is predicted by LA School Report to be especially contentious for candidates Zimmer and Anderson. District 4 covers an area that stretches from the San Fernando Valley to East Hollywood and the coast, and from Woodland Hills to Westchester.
