Congress continues to hash out a federal budget days before a deadline and the threat of another government shutdown. It's all shaping up as the House of Representatives gets ready for new Republican leadership following Speaker John Boehner's sudden announcement last week that he would retire.
That opens up the leadership role at a contentious time, with an emboldened conservative wing of the Republican Party and some key issues still on the table, like immigration and funding for Planned Parenthood.
