The West Valley Resort and Casino in Glendale, Arizona has broken ground but a congressional bill that would stop construction has already passed the house.

In August the Tohono O’odham Nation officially broke ground on The West Valley Resort and Casino.

Getting to this point hasn’t been easy. The casino’s faced significant pushback in the community. And it may not be over yet.
