What I cover
I lead a team of reporters who explore the things that make L.A. unique: its tremendous food offerings, fascinating history and endless cultural diversity. We call it Explore LA because that’s what we hope our audience will do.
My background
I’m an award-winning, British American, BBC-trained journalist, producer and editor who’s spent my career on both sides of the Atlantic, in radio and TV, news, magazine shows and documentaries, doing everything from staging Viking battles to exploring the link between domestic violence and homelessness. If it’s in any way interesting, I want to know about it. Curiosity is my killer trait.
My goals
I want to inspire Angelenos to say to their friends, “Hey, wanna try this new food I’ve heard about? Go see this outdoor sculpture with a really cool backstory? Learn all about that crazy alien-looking thing at LAX?” Ultimately to help people look at SoCal — and life generally — with fresh eyes.
