What I cover
I am an editor and writer covering one of my favorite places on the planet — Orange County — including food trends, politics, breaking news, environmental issues, public safety — and whatever else the SoCal news gods have in store for the day.
My background
I’ve been in SoCal media for over 35 years, including nearly three decades at the Los Angeles Times where I edited the weekly L.A. Affairs column.
My goals
I want to deliver SoCal news that aims to help, inform, uplift and inspire. I especially like stories that remind us how lucky we are to call SoCal home. Is it perfect? Nope. But I wouldn’t trade it for anywhere else.
How to contact me
Do you have a story idea? Don't keep it to yourself. I want to know what stories you want to read — especially about Orange County. Reach out at rlynch@laist.com.
