A body found off Seal Beach last week has been confirmed as being that of missing swimmer Joe Wayne Benford of Long Beach, reports the OC Register. Benford, 24, had been missing for two weeks after he disappeared in rough waters while body-boarding with friends.

Dolores Hope, widow of famed actor and comedian Bob Hope, has died. She was 102. Hope, born Dolores DeFina in May 1909 in New York City, had a career as a professional singer and entertainer in the 1930s under the name Dolores Reade.
