  • Tonight New Jersey-bred indie pop outfit Danielson will be headlining Spaceland with local folk rockers Marvelous Toy in tow for this week's edition of Club NME. Prolific San Franciscan singer-songwriter Jonah Matranga is poised to grace the Hotel Café. And, lastly, a slew of LA-based rollicking rock bands, including NON+, Slang Chickens and Shark Toys, will be performing at Silver Lake Lounge. But we strongly suggest heading over to Amoeba Records in Hollywood to catch local noise/punk outfit Mika Miko (LAist Review), who will be ringing in their forthcoming debut We Be Xuxa tonight as well as tomorrow night.
  • Tonight "pretend-gay, LA surf-rock in-joke" Iglu & Hartly will be ringing in their latest disc at the Roxy with Pop Noir in tow. Soul Coughing front man Mike Doughty is poised to headline the Hotel Café. And, lastly, experimental instrumental outfit Signal Hill will be gracing the Silver Lake Lounge. But we strongly suggest heading over to the Echo to catch local indie rock duo Avi Buffalo (LAist Interview). LA-by-way-of-Austin folk rock maestros Tenlons Fort (LAist Review, #2, #3) are slated to open.
  • Tonight local pop chanteuse Juliette Commagere (LAist Interview, Review) will be kicking off a month-long residency at the Echo. LAist favorites the Monolators (LAist Review, #2) are poised to ring in a new disc at Echo Curio. And, lastly, Fullerton-based garage rockers My Pet Saddle will be performing at the Silver Lake Lounge. But we strongly suggest heading over to Spaceland to catch local experimental psych folk duo Gangi (LAist Review), who will be kicking off a month-long residency as well.
  • This week legendary Belfast-bred singer-songwriter Van Morrison will be taking on a three-date stint at the Orpheum Theatre in Downtown. Canadian singer-songwriter Patrick Watson is poised to grace the Hotel Café. LAist favorites Gangi (LAist Review) will be kicking off a month-long residency at Spaceland. And, lastly, San Francisco-based singer-songwriter Jonah Matranga will be stopping by the Hotel Café.
  • Tonight Soundgarden front man Chris Cornell will be headlining the Wiltern. Fort Worth-bred songwriter, musician and producer T-Bone Burnett is poised to perform for a sold-out crowd at McCabe's Guitar Shop. And, lastly, Fugazi bassist Joe Lally will be gracing the Echo for this week's edition of Part Time Punks. But we strongly suggest heading over to the Troubadour to catch Birmingham-bred folk songstress Maria Taylor (LAist Interview). LAist favorites Whispertown 2000 (LAist Interview, Review, #2) are slated to kick things off.
  • Tonight Grammy Award winning R&B singer Robin Thicke will be headlining Nokia Theatre in Downtown. Parisian composer and musician Yann Tiersen is poised to share the El Rey Theatre with none other than Brooklyn-based shoegazer Asobi Seksu. And, lastly, Iowa-bred deep-blues vocalist/musician William Elliott Whitmore will be headlining the Knitting Factory's Main Stage. But we strongly suggest heading over to BOXeight to catch local buzz band Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros, who will be performing alongside a handful of stellar LA-based acts like Megapuss, thenewno2, Fool's Gold, Rainbow^Arabia and Saint Motel.
  • Tonight Australian rockers Wolfmother will be performing with New Zealand's own indie pop outfit the Ruby Suns at the Natural History Museum for this month's edition of First Fridays. English pop rock act Starsailor are poised to grace the Troubadour. And, lastly, Atlanta-bred garage rockers Black Lips will be headlining the El Rey Theatre with LAist favorites the Strange Boys (LAist Review, #2) in tow. But we strongly suggest heading over to Spaceland to catch Montreal-based buzz band Winter Gloves. Local experimental indie rockers Useless Keys are slated to kick things off.

Local psych rock outfit Xu Xu Fang are poised to ring in their latest disc with LAist favorites...
  • Tonight The Hold Steady keyboardist Franz Nicolay is poised to rock Spaceland. And, lastly, British singer-songwriter Carina Round will be gracing Largo at the Coronet's Little Room. But we strongly suggest heading over to the Hotel Café catch local singer-songwriter Jesca Hoop, who will be granting Los Angeles one final show before relocating to the UK. Montreal-based indie rockers Sister Suvi are slated to kick things off.
  • Tucson-based one-man rock band Bob Log III will be headlining Spaceland in Silver Lake. Barcelona-based electro pop act the Pinker Tones are poised to perform at the Knitting Factory. And, lastly, LA's own experimental music/art group Lucky Dragons will be gracing Echo Curio. But we strongly suggest that you head over to the Echoplex to catch local indie rockers the Parson Red Heads, who are slated to ring in their latest record with Castledoor.
