Boston-based alternative rockers the Lemonheads are poised to headline Spaceland. And, lastly, South London-based singer-songwriter Patrick Wolf will be gracing the Roxy in Hollywood. But we strongly suggest heading over to the Echo to catch LA-based electronic maestro the Gaslamp Killer. LAist favorites Big Moves are slated to kick things off.
  • This week Virginia-bred alternative country songstress Neko Case will be performing at the Greek Theatre with Grandaddy front man Jason Lytle. Canadian rockers the Tragically Hip are poised to take on a three-night stint at the Troubadour. South London-based singer-songwriter Patrick Wolf will be gracing the Roxy in Hollywood. And, lastly, local electronic mastermind Nosaj Thing is ringing in his debut disc, 2009's Drift, at the Airliner in Lincoln Heights.
  • Tonight Canadian indie rockers Metric (LAist Interview) will be headlining the Wiltern with former Death From Above 1979 drummer/vocalist Sebastien Grainger. Pasadena-based experimental indie pop outfit Jubilee Singers are poised to grace the Silver Lake Lounge. And, lastly, Oliver Future will be taking on yet another night of their Monday night residency with none other than Other Lives and Band of Skulls in tow. But we strongly suggest heading over to Spaceland to catch LA-based indie pop act Castledoor (LAist Review, #2, #3, #4, #5, #6), who will be continuing their month-long residency as well.
  • Tonight Ventura-based indie pop duo the Spires will be performing at the Echo as "the Velvet Underground" for this week's edition of Part Time Punks. Long Beach's own pop songstress (and general lass) Jessica Dobson will be performing at Spaceland under the pseudonym Deep Sea Diver (LAist Review). And, lastly, LA-based pop rockers the Monthlies will be taking on the Viper Room. But we strongly suggest heading over to the Henry Fonda Music Box to catch Toronto-based electronica musician Peaches, who will be concluding a two-night stint.

And speaking of Toronto, electronica band Holy Fuck are poised to rock the Troubadour with LAist favorites Crocodiles (LAist Interview) in tow. And, lastly, LA-based afro-centric indie pop act Fool's Gold will be performing at 3 Clubs with Abe Vigoda and Thee Makeout Party in tow. But we strongly suggest heading over to the hole-and-corner Pehrspace to catch local experimental instrumental outfit Signal Hill (LAist Review), who will be ringing in their debut full-length More After We're Gone. LA-based rockers Beware of Safety are slated to kick things off. And please, for the love of Pehrspace, keep the noise to a minimum!
  • Tonight legendary English blues/rock singer Joe Cocker will be headlining the Nokia Theatre in Downtown. Local multi-instrumentalist/producer extraordinaire Jon Brion (LAist Interview, #2, Review) is poised to jam with friends at Largo at the Coronet. Montreal-based indie pop outfit Clues, which is inextricably linked to the likes of the Unicorns and Arcade Fire, will be headlining the Echo. LA/SF-based "apocalyptic comedy-lounge-punk-jazz-storytelling-cinematic-what-the-hell?-art rock band" the Fuxedos will be taking on Spaceland with Killsonic in tow. And, lastly, Swedish microhouse proponent Axel Willner, otherwise known as the Field, will be performing alongside the Juan Maclean at the Avalon. But we strongly suggest heading over to the Natural History Museum to catch Phoenix-bred mashup DJ Z-Trip for this month's edition of First Fridays. LAist favorites DâM-FunK, or rather the "Ambassador of Boogie Funk," and the Gaslamp Killer are slated to kick things off.

Local hip hop duo Brother Reade (LAist Interview, Review) is poised to grace Space 15 Twenty with none other than Illa J, the younger brother of late producer James Yancey (aka Jay Dee, J Dilla). And, lastly, LA-based indie rockers Fol Chen will be headlining the Echo with Kárin Tatoyan and Wait.Think.Fast in tow. But we strongly suggest heading over to Spaceland to catch the phoenix that rose from the ashes of Page France, Cumberland, Maryland-based indie folk act Cotton Jones. LAist favorites the Parson Red Heads (LAist Review, #2, #3) are slated to kick things off.
  • Tonight legendary Miami-based hip hop group 2 Live Crew will be performing at the Key Club in Hollywood. Hermosa Beach's own punk rockers Pennywise are poised to headline Club Nokia in Downtown with Kailua Kona-based rock-reggae act Pepper in tow. And, lastly, local singer-songwriter Meiko will be making a relatively last minute appearance at the Hotel Café alongside Butterfly Boucher and Carina Round. But we strongly suggest heading over to Largo at the Coronet for Watkins Family Hour (LAist Review). As mentioned previously, local Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Fiona Apple, Tom Brosseau and actor John C. Reilly, among a few other surprise guests, are slated to jam with former Nickel Creek fiddler Sara Watkins (LAist Interview) and her guitar-toting brother Sean (LAist Interview).
  • Tonight local alt-rockers Olin and the Moon (LAist Interview) will be ringing in their latest disc at the Echo. LA-based indie rock act the Minor Canon are poised to usher in a new record as well at Spaceland with Long Beach-based chanteuse Deep Sea Diver (LAist Review). And, lastly, local indie rockers Downtown/Union will be gracing Mr. T's Bowl. But we strongly suggest heading over to Bordello to catch LAist favorites the Movies (LAist Review, #2). Pasadena-based indie electro duo Odd Modern are slated to kick things off.
  • Tonight Eureka-bred singer-songwriter Sara Bareilles will be performing amongst a bevy of singer-songwriter-types at the Hotel Café. Baltimore/Virginia-based experimental psych trio Pontiak are poised to rock the Blue Monkey Bar & Lounge with Pocahaunted in tow. And, lastly, local singer-songwriter Willoughby will be kicking off a month-long residency at the Silver Lake Lounge. But we strongly suggest heading over to Spaceland to catch LA-based indie pop act Castledoor (LAist Review, #2, #3, #4, #5, #6), who will be kicking off a month-long residency as well. LAist favorites the Monolators (LAist Review, #2) are slated to close things out.
