LA Kings defeat Vancouver Canucks 2-1 (OT). After losing the last two regular season games to the San Jose Sharks by choking two-goal leads in the third period, there didn't seem to be much hope for this team. It seemed as if the fire went out as soon as they clinched a playoff berth despite having the chance of being the 3-seed. And that's almost never a good omen for a playoff bound team. But after storming out of the gate winning the first two games in Vancouver, anything could happen.

San Antonio Spurs defeat LA Lakers 121-97. No defense, no win. In Kobe Bryant's return after sitting out seven games with a shin injury, the Lakers supposedly bolstered defense was a sieve to the Spurs. Bryant had 18 points in his return while Andrew Bynum had 17 points and only two rebounds. In fact the Spurs out-rebounded the Lakers 42-29.

LA Dodgers defeat Milwaukee Brewers 4-3. After losing the first two games of the series by one run (in walkoff fashion no less), it was inevitable the Dodgers would win this game since the Dodgers had never been swept by the Brewers. Thanks to a Matt Kemp's power, the Dodgers could rest a bit easier as they head to Houston.

The Kings hadn't been in this position in nearly a decade when they faced a Game 7 against the Colorado Avalanche in the Mile High City on April 29, 2002, a 4-0 loss. Hit the fast-forward button, the Kings still couldn't find the finishing touch in their 3-1 loss to the Vancouver Canucks.
-
Milwaukee Brewers defeat LA Dodgers 5-4. The game really did look over when Andre Ethier hit the two-run homer in the top of the eighth inning to give the Dodgers the 4-3 lead. It still looked over when Dodgers' closer Javy Guerra had runners on first and second with no outs in the bottom of the ninth, that triple play on Sunday still within sight through the rear view mirror.

LA Angels defeat Oakland Athletics 6-0. With the Angels returning home a bit battered and bruised with a 3-6 record, they needed something to lift some spirits. Enter Kendrys Morales.

History abounded in Los Angeles on Sunday. After the Dodgers got their first triple play in 14 years, the Kings took a commanding 3-0 playoff series lead for the first time in franchise history with their 1-0 shutout over the Vancouver Canucks.

LA Angels defeat New York Yankees 7-1. The Angels jumped on Yankees' starter Phil Hughes, Chris Ianetta opening the scoring with a two-run homer in the second inning. Albert Pujols hit an RBI double in the third inning, and Howie Kendrick hit a three-run bomb in the fourth that ran Hughes out of the game.

Matt Kemp has shown no signs of slowing down from his terrific 2011 season when he hit .324 with 39 homers and 126 RBI. Armed with a .417 batting average coming into Saturday's game, he powered the Dodgers to a 6-1 victory.

While a lot of people are shocked and pleased that the Kings have a 2-0 series lead over the Vancouver Canucks with the series headed back to Los Angeles, none of the players are feeling comfortable.
