I've been sloppy lately. It seems like I have to make some corrections and retractions. 1. Dodger Stadium renovations update. A Dodgers spokesman contacted me today and emphasized that in order to widen concourses and add seating areas for fans in wheelchairs, seats will not be removed from the Top Deck section. The last two to four rows will be removed from the pricier Reserve, Loge and Field levels to widen their concourses. They also reiterated that no decisions have been made on where to place the remaining seats.

Martinez and I discussed whether what the Angels and the Clippers are doing will make a dent in the Dodgers and Lakers hegemony.

Sayeth Magic Johnson at Dodger Stadium on Monday, "We have got to get back to playing solid defense. That will make the offense go." It wasn't the Dodgers he was talk about either.

To steal from the GEICO commercials, Dodger fans are happier than a witch at a broom factory, a slinky on an escalator. After what had been a quiet offseason, the Dodgers exploded all over baseball signing free agent right-handed pitcher Zack Greinke on Saturday and South Korean southpaw Ryu Hyun-Jin on Sunday. Including the posting fee for Ryu, the Dodgers spent more than $210 million in two days for the two starting pitchers.

All of the future television money has finally landed the Dodgers one of the more coveted free agents this offseason. The Dodgers will be signing former AL Cy Young Award winning starting pitcher Zack Greinke.

Is it too late for the Lakers to go back to Bernie Bickerstaff? Things are not all right, the Lakers unable to hold onto fourth quarter leads. A lot of fingers are pointed at Dwight Howard's shitty free throw shooting.
