After a botched circumcision in 2003 at a Los Angeles medical clinic, a family will receive $4.6 million in damages and lawyers' fees, reports the Long Beach Press Telegram.

Ventura County Sheriff's investigators seized 68,488 marijuana plants at the largest plantation ever discovered in the area, reports KTLA. The plants were uprooted, and were estimated to be worth about $205 million. The growing area was located in the Los Padres National Forest, just north of Ojai.

Beginning at 7:00 p.m. tonight, ramps on the 405 freeway will be shut down in preparation for the weekend's full closure of the interstate, to allow the Mulholland Drive Bridge to be demolished. Known as Carmageddon, the closure promises to turn the westside and surrounding areas into a clusterfuck for any cars that choose to drive during that time.
