In disturbing news, a woman has been arrested on suspicion of throwing her 7-month-old baby from a parking garage in Orange County, according to the Daily News. Sonia Hermosillo, 31, was taken into custody on Monday night after a witness saw the child fall and called 911 at around 6:00 p.m. on Monday.

Yesterday, L.A.'s Board of Public Works voted to deny a permit for Sunset Junction. The decision was made based on the fact that the organizers hadn't coughed up $142,000 to pay for this year's city services, including police, fire and transportation services. But organizers for the festival, which is scheduled to take place this weekend, aren't giving up just yet.

Francis allegedly met a group of three girls at the Supper Club, then tried to get one to go back to his house with him.

Police are searching for a driver who slammed into a mother and son as they were walking across the street on Sunday, leaving both victims in critical condition. According to a statement from the LAPD, the incident happened at about 11:30 a.m. at the intersection of 80th Street and Western Ave in the Manchester Square neighborhood.

Two fires broke out this afternoon beside the I-15 freeway, near the Cajon Pass in San Bernadino, reports NBC Los Angeles. The fires have burned over 250 acres collectively, and destroyed one mobile home.

Authorities are asking for the public's help in finding nine suspects involved in the beating and shooting death of a 24-year-old man in South Los Angeles. According to a statement released by the LAPD, Miguel Casteneda was confronted by a Hispanic man in his mid-20's at around 9:30 p.m. on Sunday, while walking near Southwest Drive and 5th Avenue.

Authorities are looking for the public's help in finding information relating to the murder of 31-year-old Javier Hernandez Rojas. Rojas' body was found on Friday on the Pala Indian Reservation in Pala, CA, alongside Pala Temecula Road, according to a statement released by the San Diego County Sheriff's Department. Radio station 760 AM notes that there were no obvious injuries on the body.

After their car fell 400 feet over the edge of a cliff in Malibu, three passengers were injured and one was killed, reports the Ventura County Star. Rescue workers got a call about the accident from California Highway Patrol at around 3:35 a.m.
