Travis Barker says that the LAPD took one look at his head-to-toe tats and jumped to the conclusion that he's a gang member—and not a dude best known for his drumming on the SoCal pop punk scene. Barker says he has twice been pulled over for routine traffic violations by the LAPD only to be accused of ferrying drugs, carrying weapons and being a gang member.

A man has been arrested in the deeply disturbing kidnapping of two adults who were taken from a home on the Balboa Peninsula in Newport Beach before being bound, beaten and dumped in Kern County.

Officials said that they plan to find and kill a bear that attacked a woman near Ojai yesterday. A 50-year-old woman was attacked while she was out walking her three dogs around 7 am in the Los Padres National Forest.

A fight broke out between two men outside a Koreatown restaurant early this morning. Police responded to the scene of New Hampshire Avenue and Sixth Street around 2:30 am.

Sheriff's detectives are trying to figure out what happened to a middle-aged man whose body was found off the side of the road in the Angeles National Forest last night.The body of a man in his 40s was discovered at Mile Marker 2000 on Highway 39 by deputies from the San Dimas Station.
