Travis Barker says that the LAPD took one look at his head-to-toe tats and jumped to the conclusion that he's a gang member—and not a dude best known for his drumming on the SoCal pop punk scene. A man has been arrested in the deeply disturbing kidnapping of two adults who were taken from a home on the Balboa Peninsula in Newport Beach before being bound, beaten and dumped in Kern County.

Officials said that they plan to find and kill a bear that attacked a woman near Ojai yesterday. A 50-year-old woman was attacked while she was out walking her three dogs around 7 am in the Los Padres National Forest.

A fight broke out between two men outside a Koreatown restaurant early this morning. Police responded to the scene of New Hampshire Avenue and Sixth Street around 2:30 am.

The annual Orionid meteor shower has returned, and this weekend might be your best shot at catching a glimpse of the falling stars. The best time to see the meteors will be between 11 pm on Saturday and 5:40 am on Sunday.

Sheriff's detectives are trying to figure out what happened to a middle-aged man whose body was found off the side of the road in the Angeles National Forest last night.The body of a man in his 40s was discovered at Mile Marker 2000 on Highway 39 by deputies from the San Dimas Station.
