Bianca Ramirez
Bianca Ramirez is Southern California Public Radio's Broadcast Production Manager for the Operations team. She's also SCPR's designated Chief Operator. Before taking on this role in mid-2018, Bianca was a Producer for LAist's (formerly KPCC) award-winning newsroom, where she lead and directed local newscasts for Morning Edition with late host Steve Julian and All Things Considered with host Nick Roman.
Ramirez grew up in South Los Angeles and still calls the region her home. A first-generation college graduate, she earned a Bachelors of Arts in Broadcast Journalism, and minor in Business Entrepreneurship at Cal State Long Beach in 2008. That same year, she also joined the KPCC team.
Ramirez's favorite quick-getaway destination is Santa Barbara. (She loves that 72-degree-ocean-breeze weather!)
