Zooey Deschanel is "Adorable," and She Totally Hearts Downtown L.A., You Got It?
You guys, Zooey Deschanel is adorable. Well, that's what Entertainment Weekly says after her session with the hard-hitting journos in attendance at the annual TCA event today.
“When did you first realize you were adorable?” someone asked the actress during this morning's appearance. Her blushing, modest denial of the fact but acceptance of the compliment apparently was the sweet, sweet cherry on her already sweet, sweet sundae-ness.
Don't barf, because you need to know that Deschanel was also asked questions about her love (or lack thereof) for Downtown Los Angeles, and where she likes to go when she goes there. Which she does. No really. She's been "many times," okay?
Why does any of this matter? You might have heard about her reportedly saying that some parts of Downtown left a lot to be desired. Then you might have heard that she said she was misquoted by well-known journalist Patt Morrison.
Now the adorbs She & Him singer and star of new Fox comedy "New Girl" (hence the TCA appearance) is looking to put an end to all of the hubub, reports the L.A Times' Show Tracker blog:
"I didn’t actually make that statement," she said. "But it's cool. I love downtown L.A." When probed to offer her favorite hangouts, Deschanel offered the following:
-- Disney Hall: "I've played many shows there."
-- Chinatown: "I love walking around Chinatown. Go get some dim sum. Lovely."
-- Angelus Plaza: A spot she's quite familiar with having shot scenes for her film "(500) Days of Summer" there.
"I've been downtown many times. I love all of L.A. And that is all I’m going to say about it."
So there. No, really: So there. We're done. Now who wants to meet up for some adorable dim sum? Zooey?
